Lollapalooza
So I’m going to post my recap of my trip to Chicago later this week, but I thought I’d go ahead and list the bands I got to see (* means I was just walking by as they played or watched from a distance) over the weekend at the greatest music festival this side of Manchester, Tennessee…
Friday
- The Fratellis
- Ghostland Observatory (check this band out…now!)
- Chin Up Chin Up*
- Ted Leo and the Pharmacists*
- The Polyphonic Spree
- Sparklehorse*
- M.I.A. (front row…got to touch her…whew!)
- The Rapture*
- LCD Soundsystem* (my excuse is that I wanted to be close for Daft Punk)
- Daft Punk (it was fucking incredible)
Saturday
- I’m from Barcelona (circus anyone?)
- Tapes n’ Tapes
- Stephen Marley*
- Rhymefest*
- STS9
- The Roots*
- Regina Spektor (front row! sadly she was much better at Bonnaroo, but still amazing)
- Snow Patrol*
- Yeah Yeah Yeah’s
- Muse (sweeeeeeet)
Sunday
- Rodrigo y Gabriela*
- Amy Winehouse
- Paolo Nutini*
- Iggy and the Stooges (not a big fan, but the show was off the hook)
- Modest Mouse (almost front row…decent show, too many crowd surfers were ruining it though and the band got pissed)
- TV on the Radio (they suck live…maybe i was just too tired or something…or I was just too high)
- Pearl Jam (not a fan, went so i can say “i saw Pearl Jam” and plus it was the last show. It was also cool to see around 30,000+ people gathered around a single stage)
