So I’m going to post my recap of my trip to Chicago later this week, but I thought I’d go ahead and list the bands I got to see (* means I was just walking by as they played or watched from a distance) over the weekend at the greatest music festival this side of Manchester, Tennessee…

Friday

• The Fratellis
• Ghostland Observatory (check this band out…now!)
• Chin Up Chin Up*
• Ted Leo and the Pharmacists*
• The Polyphonic Spree
• Sparklehorse*
• M.I.A. (front row…got to touch her…whew!)
• The Rapture*
• LCD Soundsystem* (my excuse is that I wanted to be close for Daft Punk)
• Daft Punk (it was fucking incredible)

Saturday

• I’m from Barcelona (circus anyone?)
• Tapes n’ Tapes
• Stephen Marley*
• Rhymefest*
• STS9
• The Roots*
• Regina Spektor (front row! sadly she was much better at Bonnaroo, but still amazing)
• Snow Patrol*
• Yeah Yeah Yeah’s
• Muse (sweeeeeeet)

Sunday

• Rodrigo y Gabriela*
• Amy Winehouse
• Paolo Nutini*
• Iggy and the Stooges (not a big fan, but the show was off the hook)
• Modest Mouse (almost front row…decent show, too many crowd surfers were ruining it though and the band got pissed)
• TV on the Radio (they suck live…maybe i was just too tired or something…or I was just too high)
• Pearl Jam (not a fan, went so i can say “i saw Pearl Jam” and plus it was the last show. It was also cool to see around 30,000+ people gathered around a single stage)
